City by city, Uber is upending taxi service. Uber is a driving service designed to provide transportation at easier access and a lower rate than your typical taxi. Uber was first established in San Diego in 2009, and since then has expanded to major cities in the U.S. like New York and Miami. After only a year in Miami, Uber has revolutionized the transportation network in the city.

With the click of a button, you can have a private driver; simply request a driver at a pick-up location, and your driver should be there within 2-7 minutes.

The drivers themselves are always very pleased to be giving you a ride. They’ll greet you with a smile and offer you the AUX cord to play music of your liking.

Pricing is a huge factor that leads to choosing Uber instead of a taxi. A relatively normal distance would cost you about half as much as it would cost if you were to use a taxi service. The simple-to-use app makes paying hassle-free by registering your credit card and automatically withdrawing the money.

The reliability of Uber is what sells the customer most. Uber drivers will never fail to fulfill your needs, and do so happily.

“I think Uber is one of the greatest things that has happened to Miami in a while. The drivers are always really nice and actually try to engage in conversation, making it a less awkward experience,” junior Gaby Martinez said.

Overall, Uber is a safe, trustworthy and inexpensive option when you’re in need of transportation. The Uber app is free for all iPhones and Androids.
