While journalists may have to adhere to the rules of writing, broadcast, design and social media, there are no laws that govern the FSPA runway. Striding into the door with their convention day one outfits, cameras and microphones were not the only accessories that students were sporting. Here at the 2023 FSPA convention where journalists are showing off their unique sense of style, we wonder, do the trends align?
Fashion trends in FSPA are much different than your everyday fashion trends. As journalist come together at the annual convention they use their fashion to unify themselves and work together. In addition functional fashion plays a major role as running around with mics and cameras is the norm. This years theme “Stars Align” helps journalist plan their outfit for the banquet where they can interpret the theme into their outfit.

Watch as community members of both Key Biscayne and Coral Gables come together to foster their shared passion for sustainability. Composting and permaculture experts volunteer their time to teach younger generations of climate advocates, in hopes of inspiring eco-friendly practices in a fun and interactive way.
The annual Tour of Kitchens was held on February 11th by the Coral Gables Community Foundation. Senior Jake Borras and Sophomore Billy Saleh dive into the Dolphin's recent season and talk about injuries and players that should have been in the as well as see what assets the Dolphins can utilize for upcoming seasons talking about some of the many young players.
Hopes are high for the Lady Cavaliers as the face their long time rivals, Miami High, in the 2023 season district semi-finals match. At this game, they're hoping their hard work and commitment will pay off with a victory to continue their journey to District Finals.
Students from the International Baccalaureate program take a tour around the Richter Library at the University of Miami. Students in IB are able to use the library's resources for research papers & homework and study time.
On Saturday, December 10th, the Coral Gables Senior High's Key Club held a beach cleanup at Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne, Florida. Key Club is a community service initiative club, where members volunteer to better their community. We learn a little bit about the process with Park Ranger Shane Zigler and volunteers Caterina Nuonno and Lucia Rodenburg.

Pamela Barrera opened up Verde, a store that refills containers with everyday products to promote an environmentally friendly future, with the intention to show people that change does happen overnight, just because you can’t see it does mean it’s not happening. We interviewed Verde’s co-owner, Pamela Barrera, and customer, Carmen Diaz, because we want to give her and Verde a voice as they continue on with their journey to show that one person can change the word.
