Monica De Varona, Staff Writer
Monica De Varona is a senior in the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Coral Gables Senior High. She is a very persistent girl and is willing to give it all when it comes to chase her dreams. Monica is always very focused in what she wants to accomplish and never stops trying when she has goals set. For this Cuban girl who has been living in Miami for just two years now, there is nothing able to make her quit.
She loves to listen to music, to exercise, and to hang out with her friends in her free time,but dancing is her dearest hobby. Monica strives to become a dentist in the future. Her education and high grades have always been a priority for her.
Monica is a new member of CavsConnect and her position as a staff writer of the spanish section makes her glad and joyous. Aside from online newspaper, she is also part of the Interact Club at Gables. On weekends, Monica volunteers in a mental health center since she feels it is a great way to help her community.
Since this is her last year at Gables, she hopes to make it memorable and enjoy every single minute in there, because every second is unique.
