On Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 our Lady Cavs’ basketball team took on the Braddock Bull Dogs at the Gables Gym. The Cavs walked away with a very satisfying win with a score of 61-46.

“I thought it was a great game. Our whole team played well and focused. We had many great opportunities, as the score suggested, and I think we took advantage of those opportunities. That mixed with great individual play and teamwork won us the game. Also, Jessica Landsberg and Adriana Rodriguez played very well”,  sophomore Alyssa Lamadriz said.

This is not the first time in the season that we have faced Braddock, but this time the outcome was in our favor with a 15 point victory. The last game, earlier in the season on Nov. 19,  brought a cruel 45-46 loss to the Cavs. However, the team has come a long way since then and they look strong with a solid win on their first game back from Winter Break.

“I feel like we played well as a team and that it was a collective effort, which is necessary to win games like that. I feel we all did our part individually, and I’m satisfied with the way I played,” senior Jessica Landsberg said.

Be sure to check out our Lady Cavs’ next game at Southridge on Wednesday the 20th at 3:30 p.m. at Southridge.
