Chorus Takes a Trip to NYC

Mary Morrow, Contributor

Cavalier Chorus kicked off their Spring Break by traveling to New York City, performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall upon invitation by WorldStrides Heritage Performance programs.  Students from three different chorus classes joined together to learn eight pieces and performe with 350 other high school students from around the country who were hand selected to participate in the 2015 National Youth Honor Choir conducted by Dr. Anton Armstrong.

“It was an incredible experience that we all got to share with people who were just as passionate about music as our choir was, and we learned so much from Dr.Armstrong. I’ve never been able to sing so well in my life, and getting to do it in Carnegie Hall was such a memorable and amazing experience,” sophomore Kylie Wang said.

With an astonishing experience in NYC, Cavalier Chorus hopes to have many other memorable moments together like this one.
