Alexis Carrasquillo is a senior in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Coral Gables Senior High School. She is half Filipino and half Puerto Rican. Alexis looks forward to starting her first year in a new publication. She enjoys editing clips of herself, as well as creating vacation recaps. She is also passionate about marine life and loves to scuba dive, snorkel, fish, and go boating. Currently, she is one of the leading members of the Coral Lab and historian of the Gables Earth Club. When she's not by the water, she will probably be skateboarding or biking around the neighborhood or binge-watching a new Netflix show. If you had to describe her to another person it would be "the short girl that carries a skateboard". While she enjoys leisure times, when it comes to school her favorite subjects are math and science however she strongly dislikes English. For her, what makes school worthwhile are the friends around her as well as the empanada cart and the Pop-Tarts. As part of the founding staff of CavsTV, she hopes to improve her editing skills as well as get to know her community better.
