Avril Donner runs swiftly through the Spanish River Course, competing against schools in Miami Dade.
Coach Fotso provides encouraging words to the runners, reassuring them of their worries and promising them that they will hold up for the race.
Juan Fajardo, along with the rest of the boys varsity team, run the race at steady paces, in hopes of beating their competition.

Lucia Chico is a senior in the International Baccalaureate Program. She serves as the Senior Class President for the class of 2023 as well as the co-president and founder of the Gables Garden Project and co-president of the Political Activism and Civic Engagement Club. This upcoming year, she is excited to join the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team for the third year in a row. With a passion for sustainability and expanding creative boundaries, in her free time, Lucia enjoys upcycling clothes, gardening, volunteering in her community and hanging out with friends and family. She hopes to major in communications and marketing at the University of Florida.
