Kristopher Moll and Anthony Puntonet were key players in the win over Carol City.

Thursday, Aug. 25, senior Kristopher Moll and junior Anthony Puntonet led the Cavalier football team to victory over the Carol City Chiefs with a score of 16-13. Moll had a total of 20 tackles taking down the Chiefs, while Puntonet had eight tackles and two interceptions, one of which led to the team’s victory in overtime.

Q: What is your name?

Moll: Kristopher Moll.

Puntonet: Anthony Puntonet.

Q: What position do you play and what is your jersey number?

Moll: I play linebacker and I am no. 6.

Puntonet: I play DB, safety, and corner and I am no. 37.

Q: How long have you been playing football?

Moll: I have been playing football for 10 years and this is going to be my 11th.

Puntonet: Since I was 5 years old, pewees.

Q: Why did you start playing football?

Moll: I started playing football because it was a good thing for me to do on my free time.

Puntonet: My brothers always played football and they led me to play football.

Q: What are your thoughts on the game against Carol City?

Moll: We had a pretty good game, but we could have played a little better, but we came out with the W.

Puntonet: We came out with the W because we did all our jobs, all our assignments and listened to our coach.

Both athletes would like to continue playing football after high school. With the hopes of making a college team and maybe even the NFL these two athletes are working hard on the field. Catch Moll and Puntonet play in their next game against Homestead on Sept. 9 at 7 P.M. on Harris field.
