Hopefully, the Heat will finish their season on top of their conference

The Miami Heat have had somewhat of a hit or miss season with the team showing good form most of the time, but also losing many games they could have won. Their away record for the 2015-’16 season is 20 wins and 21 losses, while their home record is 28 wins and 13 losses – much better than their away record.

“To say the least, I was disappointed. I truly wanted the Heat to progress through their side, so seeing them go out in the conference semifinals was a let down,” junior Holden Payne said.

The Heat unfortunately ended their post season campaign in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Toronto Raptors with the series ending 4-3 in favor of the Raptors. In their first game, the Heat won 102-96. They lost the second and the third games 96-92 and 95-91 respectively, but then to keep the suspense the Heat won game four 94-87, tying the series at 2-2. However, the Raptors needed to only win one more game after Wednesday’s 99-91 victory, but the Heat managed to hold them off with a 103-91 win to take the series to game 7. Unfortunately, the Raptors played incredibly in the final game of the series, winning the game 116-89 and the series 4-3.

The Heat have certainly performed better. They’re not necessarily playing poorly, but this is definitely not they best they play. I had hoped that they could beat the Raptors and at least make it to the conference finals,
