Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter awards thousands of dollars in scholarships annually to deserving high school students in Miami-Dade County. The awards are given to students who have demonstrated high scholastic achievement, and leadership and have actively participated in community service projects.
Since 1942, Gamma Zeta Omega has proudly awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships and book awards to assist students in their academic pursuits as well as encouraged and prepared our next generation of game-changer leaders.
The following scholarships are available to interested and eligible students:
- Jeanetta A. Gill Scholarship – Named for the third President of Gamma Zeta Omega who was a local community educator and advocate. The current scholarship amount is $15,000.00 paid over four years in increments of twenty-five hundred dollars per year. An eligible applicant for this four-year scholarship shall be:
- (1) a female student,
- (2) Miami-Dade County public high school senior;
- (3) attending an Historically Black College/University (HBCU) is required.
- This recurring scholarship requires the recipient to maintain a B or better G.P.A. annually.
