Jorton Cabrera has been a member of JROTC for his past 4 years of high school and is one of the most dedicated people found in this program. Through his interview accompanied by interviews of friends and superiors, Jorton’s story will unfold about his JROTC journey, his passion, and his marine recruit.

Sofia Perez-Quinones is a junior in the International Baccalaureate program. This is her first year in Cavs connect and she is very excited for what’s to come. She enjoys spending time with family & friends & her favorite place to be at is the beach. Sofia loves to dance and thinks that it’s an amazing way to bring people together. Apart from Cavs connect Sofia is part of the Health Information Project “HIP” club, Interact club, Medical club & IB Honor Society club at Gables because she loves being involved in school. She loves to spend her summer volunteering, going to tropical places and taking dance classes. One of the many places she loves going to is Universal, she loves theme parks & specifically the rollercoaster “Velocicoaster”. Sofia is very excited for her 2025-2026 CavsConnect year & she looks forward to an amazing year surrounded by the best people.
