Marco Gonzalez is a junior at Coral Gables High, entering his second year as a member for the CavsConnect news publication. Going into this year, he is prepared to balance rigorous IB coursework along with his passion for journalism and his love for his sport. When he isn’t in room 9221, Marco enjoys quality time with friends and spending his weekends and summers sailing, a sport he’s participated in since he was eight years-old. This year, he is getting ready to sail for his school as well, having helped start the team over the summer. With his strong passion and knowledge of sports, Marco aspires to become editor of the sports column, a topic he can spend hours talking about. In this coming school year, he hopes he can take strides towards reaching these goals, as well better himself each and every day.
