Holden Payne, Anchor
As a Pre-IB sophomore and part of the "Payne Family", Holden's life is a busy one. From being the President of the sophomore class to being in CavsConnect and Student Activities, Holden tries his hardest to balance his plate. Holden, as the middle child, has an older sister currently at Gables and a younger brother in middle school. Coming from a family of boaters and divers, the water has played a huge part in Holden's life since he was a child. As soon as Holden could swim, his parents would take him out to go free diving and boating. As Holden got older and more experienced in the water, his focus turned to the sport of competitive sailing, where he learned to skipper the Opti and compete in international events. Now Holden has graduated to the larger 420 boat and actively sails on the weekends.
Whenever Holden has free time, he enjoys going out to the ocean, whether it's in a sailboat or in a power boat. Around school, Holden is referred to as "The President" and spends a lot of his time organizing the sophomore class's treat days and various events. Besides participating in student government, he is also involved in four clubs including IBHS and Gables Earth. Being the only anchor in CavsConnect, Holden is very excited about partaking in it's new video initiative and hopes to be filmed in many broadcasts to come.
