After-School Life Near Gables

In and after school students can always find something to do. Out of school students can go to different places where they can relax and chat with their friends after a long day of working. Finding a spot afterschool is never a problem when you’re a student at Gables. In this video, we cover spots outside of campus popular amongst students, and review our after-school life.

Andres Florentino is a sophomore in the International Baccalaureate Program. This is his first year in CavsTV and he is super excited to be part of the publication. He was born in Boston in an Italian/Dominican family and moved to Miami when he was 2 years old, however he has a huge love for his hometown. He loves traveling, experiencing new adventures, and learning about new cultures. Everywhere he goes he enjoys taking pictures and hopes to do that for CavsTV. In his free time, he plays tennis, goes shopping with his friends, and drives around the city. He has a sweet tooth for candy and gum and makes sure to always have some on him. This year, he hopes to join many clubs and be more involved in his school’s community.
Aidan Remedios
Aidan Remedios, CavsTV Staff
Aidan Remedios is a sophomore in the International Baccalaureate Program. It is his first year with CavsTV, and he is extremely thrilled to be part of this publication. He was born in India and moved to Miami last year. Aidan loves music and is a certified Grade 8 pianist by the London College of Music. He also plays the guitar recreationally and produces music, which can be found on multiple streaming platforms. Apart from music, Aidan enjoys keeping fit by running 5 km every other day. His hobbies include watching football and supporting England and Manchester United. He wants to contribute to its followers. Aidan hopes to excel this year in school as well as in other extracurricular aspects of his life.
Alexander Tam-Solis
Alexander Tam-Solis, CavsTV Staff
Alexander Tam-Solis is a sophomore in the IB program at Coral Gables Senior High. This is his first year being a member of CavsTV and he hopes to make the most out of it as well as in his following years at Coral Gables High. While focusing on his academics, he also wants to be more involved in school activities, clubs, and sports. He is already in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and is on the board of International Baccalaureate Honor Society (IBHS) but wants to join a few more clubs in the future and join the soccer team. Outside of school, his favorite hobby is to travel around the world. He’s been to Switzerland, Norway, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, as well as many other countries, and enjoys seeing the different cultures of people all over  the globe. Alex wishes to learn a lot from CavsTV and be a good help for the team.  
Mateo Blashke
Mateo Blashke, CavsTV Staff
Mateo Blaschke is a sophomore in the International Baccalaureate Program, and this is his first year in Cavs TV. He is a very social, outgoing, and charismatic person who loves to make new friends, something he looks forward to doing in his time with the publication. During his free time, you can usually find him playing soccer, biking around the city, and hanging out with friends. Mateo really loves to travel around the world because he finds it interesting how countries around the world differ culturally. In the future, Mateo looks forward to continuing to be involved with the school by attending sports games, pep rallies, and other school activities. He is also part of the Boys Varsity Soccer Team and wishes to continue playing until he graduates. He boasts about the importance of balance in people's lives and even though it can be hard at times, he always tries his best to keep his academic and athletic life very balanced.
