Daniel Ridgely, CavsConnect Staff Writer
Daniel Ridgely is a sophomore in the Academy of Finance starting his first year in CavsConnect as a staff writer. When he first enrolled at Coral Gables Senior High, Daniel never expected to join one of the school’s publications. The reason for this change of heart was his favorite teacher, Ms. Passwaters, asking him to join CavsConnect. In addition to being a part of the CavsConnect team, he is also a member of the Chess Club and Future Business Leaders of America. Outside of school, Daniel is fascinated with football and enjoys spending time with friends and his golden-doodle dog, Molly. On the weekends, you can catch Daniel scoring on the tennis court and training to join the Gables tennis team in the spring. Daniel aspires to be a mechanical engineer and enroll in the University of Florida or Duke University to get his master's degree. To get ahead, Daniel spends his free time working on getting certified in QuickBooks so he can hopefully get a job at a small business and make some money to save up for college.
