Nancy Bailey, Class of 1962

Nancy Bailey is an innovative woman in the field of brand extension and trademark licensing, setting records as one of the first women in a managing role at Procter & Gamble. She has been nationally recognized for such contributions and gives back to the University of Miami, where she formally attended.

David Brumbaugh, Class of 1991

David Brumbaugh fueled his passion for helping others by traveling to different areas of the world throughout his college years for volunteering purposes. Now an acclaimed physician, he serves as Chief Medical Officer of Children's Hospital Colorado and teaches future gastroenterologists at the University of Colorado.

Gil Green, Class of 1993

Gil Green has become recognized in the production industry, directing music videos, commercials and select films. His time in Miami has made him flexible enough to work with a variety of genres and he makes an effort to give back to his community via his LOVE, CAMERA, ACTION summer camp for aspiring producers.

Rosanna Hoff Karpiak, Class of 1976

Rosanna Hoff Karpiak was an avid officer of the first Gablettes dance team and ultimately returned as their dance coach between the years of 1981 and 1999. Under her guidance, the Gablettes were able to win various national awards and she now coaches dance and varsity golf at Miami Palmetto High.

Kathy Manning, Class of 1963

Throughout the course of Kathy Manning's life, she has helped others through culture and cuisine. She housed various Vietnamese refugees after the Vietnam war in 1975 and even took some into her own home. Through this she met her business partner and close friend, and opened Hy Vong, a restaurant dedicated to Vietnamese specialties.

Mary Snow, Class of 2000

Mary Snow is an avid civic leader who has prioritized the practice of philanthropy throughout her career. She was the former President of the Coral Gables Community Foundation, which flourished in aspects like historic preservation, education, health and the arts under her leadership. Since then, they have also expanded scholarship programs thanks to her influence.

Maribel Perez Wadsworth, Class of 1990

Maribel Perez Wadsworth displays achievements in journalistic innovation, especially during her time as President of Gannett Media, Publisher of USA Today and Gannett's first Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. She encouraged developments in landscaping and formatting, and now serves as the first woman president of the nonprofit Knight Foundation.
In Memoriam: Gail W. Payne (1936-2024)

Throughout her lifetime, Gail Payne considered Coral Gables a home away from home and worked to advocate for her local public schools. As a CAP counselor, she encouraged various Gables students to remain curious and obtain a future that met their definition of success and happiness. Payne went beyond her job description in order to accommodate the setbacks of any child, including finding alternative solutions or simply helping in any way she could. At countless Cavalier events, Gail could be found on the sidelines, cheering on the school that she held so dear to her heart. Many of her family members are still avid contributors to Coral Gables and were honored to accept her memorial plaque.
