Gianna Figueroa, CavsConnect Staff Writer
Gianna Figueroa is a junior in the International Baccalaureate program at Gables, returning to CavsConnect with vibrant determination to make her second year in the publication count. Driven by her passion for storytelling, she loves shining the spotlight on others and sharing their unique stories through her all-time favorite section, Features, leaving her truly content. This year, she aims to enhance her writing style across all sections with hopes of gaining recognition for her work in the process. When she isn’t brainstorming angles for a story, Gianna extends her involvement around campus, now serving as Secretary of Interact, a Peer Health Educator for the Health Information Project and Banquet Chair of Quill & Scroll.
Alongside balancing academics and extracurriculars, Gianna expresses herself creatively as an avid painter and sketcher, vividly remembering some of her earliest artistic experiences as she headed to the playground chalk in hand and began doodling away, captivating those around her, eventually evolving into a lifelong passion. Currently, Gianna hopes to continue growing as a writer and artist, strengthen and create new bonds, maintain a high grade point average and always cherish the time she spends with her friends and family.
