While your body rests, your brain is busy blending emotions, memory, and dreams, sometimes weaving music into that mix in ways you don’t consciously notice. In this episode of CavsChat, Liz Martinez and Lua O’Brien explore how listening to music during REM sleep can quietly reshape the way a song feels once you’re awake.
Lúa Paz O’Brien is a sophomore in the International Baccalaureate at Coral Gables Senior High. As she commences this new year, she strives to balance all her activities. During the past summer, she decided to be more involved in the school: join more clubs and see where she can help out. Lúa’s favorite things are attending concerts, traveling and being with her friends. Her top concerts are Billie Eilish and Coldplay and Adele is pending on her bucket list. Her family travels a lot for work so when she can, she tags along. She loves everything having to do with a stage and performances. Even though she loves acting, she prefers to be backstage. She is a productive member of the audio-visual club in school and helps with every production.
