Every Noise at Once is a website where you can search for different genres of music. There’s two ways to view the genres: list and map.

Make sure to check out everynoise.com

The website shows you multiple artists who fall under the genre you choose. After you pick the artist you want to listen to, it will take you to Spotify.  After you go to Spotify, it will give you recommended songs. This website isn’t only for computers; it also works on phones, so you can use it on the go.

While Every Noise at Once has a really interesting idea, it’s not very practical.  It’s too much work to find an artist you like. When you use the Find Artist search box, it gives you the genres that the artist belongs to. This design is flawed because when you select a genre, a bunch of other artists or genres pop up instead of songs from the original artist you chose.

When you use the map form to view genres, there’s a lot of them and they are crowded. This can make it difficult when you are looking for something that looks intriguing. The list form is more organized but the map offers more search options and it works better. A Spotify window is embedded into the page.

“I think the website is a hot mess because there’s so much going on and it’s so hard to find something you like,” freshman Jazmin Gonzalez said.

Every Noise At Once might not be for everyone, but the site sure does have a great idea going on. Once they fix problems here and there, it will be an amazing website to check out. The website will work for those who have patience and love searching for different types of music.
