ASAP Science is an educational Youtube channel that is devoted to answering interesting science questions in around three minutes. What’s different about this Youtube channel is that all the compelling explanations are accompanied by bright, fun drawings of the information on a whiteboard. With over 4 million subscribers and nearly 500 million views, the channel has experienced great success.

“ASAP Science covers a lot of topics that you don’t really seem to think about; but, when you see them they really interest you. You can really learn a lot from them, like the period table song helped me learn the abbreviations [of] the elements,” junior Paula Hernandez said.

The channel was founded by Mitchell Moffit and Gregory Brown in 2012. Since then, they have expanded to a second Youtube channel, ASAP Thought, that discusses various topics, not all of which scientific. On Mar. 17, 2015, the creators published a book, AsapSCIENCE: Answers to the World’s Weirdest Questions, Most Persistent Rumors, and Unexplained Phenomena, featuring the fun depictions seen in videos. They have collaborated with people such as Bill Nye and even wrote a song on the period table to help memorize the order of the elements.

ASAP Science is an exciting, educational youtube channel that provides interesting information to its viewers in short videos that keep their interest piqued. The videos are great for people of all ages and can get others more interested in the field of science. As long as viewers are asking scientific questions, the channel will continue to succeed as its viewers continue to crave more information.
