The life of a young adult living in the middle of New York has its ups and downs. “Friends” shows viewers the daily life of a group of six friends (Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross) throughout their 20s and 30s. The sitcom is arguably the best of its kind to have ever been aired and has led the way to other great shows such as “How I Met Your Mother” and “The Big Bang Theory.” Despite all the downfalls of their lives, “Friends” makes you wish you could be part of that group and live one of the characters’ lives.

After having been married for three years, Ross finds out that his wife is a lesbian. Thus began the 10 year adventure that the entire group would have. Their adventures took them through relationships, breakups and marriages. At some point, all of the main characters lived at the same apartment where a bunch of the awesome moments of their friendship happened. This paired up with the coffee house where they always hung out makes for an awesome, hilarious setting. In the end they all live a great, fulfilling life that, even if it isn’t real, everyone wishes they had.

The cast of friends, except Matthew Perry, reunites and talks about the show.

Last Sunday the cast of friends reunited in a tribute to director James Burrows; however, much to people’s surprise, Matthew Perry was a complete no-show. Be that as it may, for the five minutes that the cast gathered, they gave people some interesting behind the scenes information. Here’s what was learned. The cast would play poker together on set; this was Burrows idea to get them to bond. Interestingly, an episode was made based on this (“The One With All the Poker”). The three women from the show had the same lunch for ten years: the “Jennifer salad.” Finally, Courteney and Jennifer switched their characters, as they auditioned for Rachel and Monica respectively.

“I think it was great that they had a reunion after all these years, but I was disappointed to not see Chandler there,” freshman Julius Telleria said.

“Friends” was an extremely well-made, funny show that keeps everyone laughing episode after episode. The show will surely be watched and remembered for a very long time as one of the best sitcoms ever made. The cast had as much fun as the viewers and everyone had great memories come back as the actors reunited after so many years. “Friends” might make city life look hard, but it sure seems fun; who wouldn’t want to be one of the stars?
