HYPERHYPER released a new app called PHHHOTO. This recently updated app (Dec. 4) lets the user create moving pictures, or GIFs. It requires iOS 7.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The PHHHOTO app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

On PHHHOTO the user can follow friends and other accounts to share and watch their GIFs. This app has five columns:

• FEED: The recent posts of the user’s follows are displayed.
• WOW: Posts with the most likes are displayed in their own separate feed.
• CAMERA: The user can make his or her own moving pictures.
• NEWS: Notifies the user when someone likes or comments on their post.
• YOU: The profile of the user is displayed with his or her profile PHHHOTO and personal posts or posts that they liked.

On iTunes, this app received four out of five stars. Although moving pictures is a fresh idea for a new social media app, PHHHOTO automatically sets a filter. It only has two filters and on special occasions, it releases one more for a limited time offer. Plus, one cannot use old photos from their camera roll to make their own, and the quality of the PHHHOTOs are not the best.
