This year, IBHS redesigned Bridge for Peace into a COVID-19 safe format– a walkathon.

In its new, COVID-19 safe format, Bridge For Peace 2021 has been adapted to a 5k walkathon that students can participate in from the comfort of their own neighborhoods to benefit Feeding South Florida, a nonprofit striving to end hunger in our local communities.

Click the link here to make a $15 donation to Feeding South Florida, committing to walk a 5k on March 20 anytime from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you purchase your ticket before Feb. 12, you can receive a shirt in your choice of either lilac or forest green. This $15 price was reduced from the previously $20 tickets, and each dollar donated funds 9 meals through Feeding South Florida.

To get the 15 hours of credit, log a photo on Innerview while participating in the 5k. If you are not in IBHS, email your image to [email protected] to get credit for attending.

This year, IBHS was able to receive a record number of extra credit commitments from teachers. (Sara Ebrahimi)

As pictured here, over 55 teachers have approved extra credit for the event. To get credit from these teachers, make sure to keep the receipt sent from Eventbrite as well as the photo during the 5k, because different teachers may have different requirements to receive the credit.
