Paz Chico is a senior in the International Baccalaureate program. Paz loves her Coral Gables Senior High community and is a fourth year member of CavsConnect. She loves going to Gables’ pep rallies and doing Reels with the newest trends. Paz is a fourth year member of the girls varsity soccer team. She thinks that that is the best part of high school: going to practice and spending time with friends. Paz also is Co-President of the Garden Project, a club where she aspires to go and improve the garden at Gables. Not only that but Paz is Vice-president of the National Spanish Honor Society and part of the IB Executive Council.
Kate Kuryla, CavsConnect Staff Writer
Kate Kuryla is a rising senior in the International Baccalaureate magnet program at Coral Gables Senior High School. She can not believe that it is her final year of CavsConnect. An inexperienced writer in her freshman year, she is now much more confident with her writing skills and is still making room for improvement. Kate is eager to make the most of her senior year, from decorating her crown to attending all of the school pep rallies, she is ready to participate. Besides CavsConnect, Kate takes on leadership positions in four clubs, is a member of the school cross country team and maintains a high academic standing. She is determined to work towards her goals, and she envisions moving to New York and pursuing a career in the medical field. Right now during her free time, you can often find Kate going out with her friends, trying new restaurants or taking long walks with her dog. But with college applications right around the corner, Kate is growing anxious but hopeful for the future that awaits her.
