Yara Korse, CavsConnect Sports Editor
Yara Korse is an incoming senior in the International Baccalaureate program. Reaching her final year of high school, she is excited to have new adventures and spend time with her friends. As the new Sports Editor for CavsConnect, she is excited to capture the best moments of sports and put them on paper because she sports are a big part of her life. The saddest part of her soon departure from Coral Gables Senior High is the end of her high school career in cross country and track and field, and while she does not want to pursue these sports in her future school, she hopes to continue running and improve as well. Her love for aviation will hopefully lead her to a future career as a pilot or something related to the aviation field, but meanwhile, she knows she will thrive in her last year, taking one step at a time.
Luke Savage, CavsConnect Opinion Editor
Luke Savage is a junior at Coral Gables Senior High and currently serves as the Opinion Editor for CavsConnect. He approaches academics with focus and discipline, striving to maintain a strong grade point average while balancing his editorial responsibilities. His professionalism and ability to craft engaging, well-researched articles earned him the role of News Editor sophomore year and now Opinion Editor, where he continues to refine his voice as a writer and mentor to others.
With aspirations of becoming Editor-in-Chief, Luke is committed to the growth of CavsConnect. Whether coordinating with staff, managing deadlines or providing thoughtful feedback, he prioritizes collaboration and leadership to strengthen both the publication and the team behind it.
