From the founding of our nation to today, the electoral college has been a major part of the democratic election system. Included in the constitution, the electoral college is a body of people representing the states of the US, who formally cast votes for the election of the president and vice president. It has overturned popular vote decisions on big events such as the presidential race and altered the course of American history; but is it an outdated system?
