The newest FBI special agent show has arrived and it’s called Quantico. The series first aired on American Broadcasting Company (ABC) Sunday, Sept. 27 with a remarkable 7.14 million views. The mystery-thriller, that some have been calling Grey’s Anatomy meets Homeland, has constant plot twists and leaves viewers astonished, never expecting what is coming next.

The series revolves around 50 FBI recruits who were carefully picked to be special agents in the FBI Academy at Quantico. It quickly grabs viewers attention with the opening scene depicting the main character, Alex Parish, lying in a pile of rubble after what is later called the largest terrorist attack since 9/11. It then flashes back to nine months earlier when Parish was accepted into the academy. The plot thickens as it flashes forward again and Parish is accused of committing the act of terrorism. Through a further series of flashbacks, Parish recounts the story of her and her peers through the Academy.

Although some critics say the plot is too dense, with various story lines constantly going in different directions making it hard to keep track of all the characters, the series attracts millions of viewers every Sunday. The show even has love stories that make it even more entertaining and the mystery of who committed the attack continues to fascinate viewers and leave them wanting more.

“Quantico is one of my favorite shows right now and I love the mystery in it. I never know what’s gonna happen and I’m excited to find out who really caused the attack,” senior Natalie Rambaran said.

The show has a very diverse cast and characters from all over the globe including the main character, played by Priyanka Chopra, and Muslim twins, both played by Lebanese actress Yasmine Al Masri. Quantico constantly leaves viewers wanting to know more and waiting impatiently for the next episode. The series airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. (EST) on ABC.
