The mean girls are back, and better than ever! If you’re looking for a new show to be addicted to, look no further. FOX’s newest TV show Scream Queens premiered Tuesday, Sept. 22 with over 4.04 million views in the U.S. The horror comedy show had a two hour premiere with many stars to capture audiences’ attention.

The show revolves around Chanel Oberlin who if forced to open the Kappa house to anyone who wants to join by the dean of the school. Throughout the episode, the show flashes back and forth between 1994 when one of the sorority girls had mysteriously died and to the 20th anniversary of her death. In the present day, the school’s mascot, the red devil, seems to be after the Kappa girls, killing one after the other, though no one knows the intentions.

Well, I think it’s really cool and I like how it has a lot of famous people, even if they have small roles. I also find it really funny and dumb but that just makes it funnier.

Although the plot seems to be much like Pretty Little Liars, where a group of girls is being attacked by a mysterious masked figure, the show keeps it fresh by keeping the atmosphere light-hearted and comical. Although it does involve some gruesome deaths, for the most part, characters are killed off in a funny or unpredictable way.

The show managed to wrangle up all the stars they could to make their first episode a great hit. From killing off Ariana Grande in the first episode to bringing Nick Jonas back to life at the end of it, this show is sure to have plot twists throughout the season. The show is filled with many well known actors and new ones that have attracted all types of audiences.

“I’m excited to watch how the season progresses. Since there are many ads on social media, the show must be very popular,” junior Gabriela Vega said.

With its first season starting, the show is predicted to have many viewers and be a hit with audiences.
