On Sept. 9, 2015, Apple held their annual technology showcase for all of their upcoming products, and as always, they delivered with new products, devices in need of an upgrade, and of course, the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

Much was to be expected from this year’s event, as there were many rumors afloat before the show commenced, one of the biggest (literally) being the new iPad Pro. The iPad Pro features a 12 inch screen, which when compared to the iPad Air 2’s 9.4 inch screen is quite a significant difference. Staying on the topic of iPads, the iPad mini saw in upgrade in the iPad mini 4, which was a much needed upgrade seeing as the mini 3 was almost identical to the mini 2. The last bit of iPad news comes from the iPad Air series, which in fact did not receive any updates and remains with the iPad Air 2 as the latest and greatest.

“I’m an Apple guy, I always have been and I probably always will be, and although the event was pretty much the same as last year, I will definitely take a look at the iPad Pro.,” sophomore Virgil Alfred said.

Another expected announcement was the release of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Taking a glance inside the device, you will find new 3D touch functionality, which means if you press harder on the screen the phone will notice, in addition to a new camera and processor.

With this year’s event going in the direction that most of the world suspected, Apple still is going strong and their new devices will definitely help. To learn just a little more about iOS 9, which was not covered in the event, click here.
