Making money is a difficult task, and being a junior in IB, like George Poincot, doesn’t make it any easier. Unlike many others though, Poincot has managed to find a balance between his schoolwork and his ability to earn cash.

Poincot is in the business of computer science and is able to build websites from scratch for paying customers who, according to Poincot, mainly consist of small corporations, lobbyists, and entrepreneurs. To learn this skill, he attempted to go to various computer-programing classes, yet when they didn’t seem to fit his needs, he turned to the use of trial and error as well as different online sources to guide him in creating websites.

Poincot tends to work alone on these projects, which usually, depending on the complexity of the desired website, take three to 10 days to complete. So far, he has made six websites: Glufrei, KB Computer Repairs, Fuentes Strategies, FuelEnex and Beatrice Ponce Jewelry. Of those six, four are up and running.

“I set aside time in advance that I know I will either dedicate to my school work or my side-job, so I can efficiently get everything done…plus I drink a lot of coffee,” Poincot said.
